Dr. Wolfgang Singer from Mayo Clinic, MN, took great interest in our dataMSA surveys.
Under his supervision, Dr. Negin Badihian, a Mayo Clinic Neurology Fellow, undertook the disaggregation and study of the nearly 1200 patient and caregiver surveys. Their findings were presented at the American Automimic Society's 34th International Symposium on November 18th, 2013
Dr. Badihian writes, "The presentation was successful . . . we are planning to publish a paper on it. We haven't prepared the manuscript yet, but we hope to do so soon."
Thank you to Dr. Wolfgang Singer, Dr. Negin Badihian, Mayo Clinic, and the MSA Coalition - and, most importantly, thank you to each of the individuals affected by multiple system atrophy who participated in the surveys. Although many of them are no longer with us, they live on in the sharing of their experiences.
In October 2018, Zoltan Mari, MD, Section Head, Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and the Center for Neurological Restoration, presented the dataMSA Survey Summary at the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders® in Hong Kong. This presentation was well received and widely reviewed, rating #3 of more than 1400 abstracts shared.
